Shallow gas anomalies in the black sea

There is an active exploration process of hydrocarbon systems in the Black Sea. 2D and 3D seismic data showed some shallow gas anomalies (500 meters deep from the seabed), having MTC (Mass Transport Complex) structures as a seal. The presented example is from the Sile-1 block, offshore Turkey, and the 3D seismic data was interpreted during the 2022 summer internship at OMV Petrom. OMV Petrom is one of the largest corporations in Romania and the largest oil and gas producer in Southeast Europe.
